This tutorial was written in psp 8, but can be done in other versions. Open a new blank image 500x500 and Flood Fill with white, set the Foreground colour to black and switch off the Background colour. With the Preset Shape tool, choose rectangle, line width 3, (create as vector checked) and draw out a rectangle. Layers>Convert to Raster Layer. Swap materials so that Black is now the Background colour and the Foreground is swicthed off and draw out a rectangle in the top left corner:
Layers>Convert to Raster Layer and then Layers>Duplicate the small black rectangle and move the duplicated rectangle to the bottom right corner. Close off the visibility of the background layer on the layer palette and Layers>Merge>Merge Visible. Unhide the background layer. With the Magic Wand tool, feather and tolerance both at 0, select the white inside the frame and floodfill with a colour from your chosen image inside the selection, I used #B798DE. Selections>Modify>Contract by 2 pixels and hit delete on your keyboard and keep the selection selected:
If you're using a dark image that has a lot of black in it, click on the merged frame layer on the layer palette and with the magic wand tool click inside it and Selections>Invert and apply a Drop Shadow of V: 0, H: 0, Opacity: 55, Blur: 9, colour white:
Selections>Select None. Select grey as the Background color and with the Preset Shape Tool, ellipse, hold down the shift key on your keyboard (this will keep it a perfect circle) and draw out a small circle. Layers>Convert to Raster Layer and apply Effects>3D Effects>Inner bevel with the following settings:
Image>Resize until it's roughly the same size as mine and position it over the black part of the frame on the top left corner. Layers>Duplicate and postition the duplicated circle just below the first one, Layers>Duplicate again and position the duplicated circle below the last, repeat one more time so that you have four circles. Close the visibility off on the layer palette of the background, merged frame and image layers and Layers>Merge>Merge Visible. Unhide the layers again so we can see what we're doing and Layers>Duplicate the merged circles. Image>Flip, Image>Mirror and position the duplicated circles on the bottom black right part of the frame. Close the visibility off of the background layer on the layer palette and Layers>Merge>Merge Visible, Unhide the background layer. Effects>Plugins>MuRa's Meister, Copies and apply the settings below:
Apply a Drop Shadow of V: 0, H: 0, Opacity: 55, Colour: Black. Layers>New Raster Layer and Flood Fill with a colour from your image, I used: #472F64, drag this layer below the merged layer and above the background layer on the layer palette. Open the mask and Layers>New Mask Layer>From Image, in the drop down menu look for the mask and click ok:
Layers>Merge>Merge Group, resize this mask layer if needed. Open the Doodle and copy and paste it as a new layer, drag it below the merged layer and above the mask layer on the layer palette and Image>Flip, Image>Rotate>Free Rotate 45 degrees, left. Resize and position it like mine and Layers>Duplicate, Image>Flip, Image>Mirror and position the duplicated doodle. Lower the opacity of the doodle layers on the layer palette to about 70 or so. Layers>New Raster Layer and drag this layer to the bottom, above the background layer, choose a dark colour for the Foreground colour and apply the brush to the new layer, I resized mine to 400, this gives it a little smokey effect. Open the flower and copy and paste the flower onto your tag, resize it and position it on the top right, Layers>Duplicate the flower, resize again and position the smaller flower just below the larger flower. Drop Shadow of V: 0, H: 0, Opacity: 55, Blur: 5, Colour: Black to both flowers. Add the artists copyright information and any license number if using PTU and add your watermark/tagger name etc. Choose a dark colour for the Foreground colour and a light colour from your image for the background colour and add the text for your name, I used font: Porcelain, it can be found HERE, size 72. Apply a Drop Shadow of V: 0, H: 0, Opacity: 100, Blur: 5, Colour: White and repeat the same shadow again. Layers>Merge>Merge Visible, if you want to add the animation then continue below, if not save as jpg. To Animate: Open the Star, (if you made your own find it in the Picture Tube Tool and add a new Raster Layer) copy and paste as a new layer onto your tag, resize as needed and position over the top left stud, Layers>Duplicate and position the duplicated star over on the bottom right stud. Edit>Copy Merged and open Animation Shop and Edit>Paste>As New Animation. Back to psp and move each star to the next stud, and again Edit>Copy Merged, over to Animation Shop and Edit>Paste>After Current Frame. Back to psp and move the star again to the next stud Edit>Copy Merged, and over to Animation Shop and Edit>Paste>After Current Frame. Back to psp and move the star one last time to the next and last stud Edit>Copy Merged, and over to Animation Shop and Edit>Paste>After Current Frame. Still in Animation Shop and Edit>Select All, Edit>Copy, click on the last frame to make it the only active frame (the border will turn red) and Edit>Paste>After Current Frame, Animation>Reverse Frames. Click on frame 4 to make it active and Edit>Delete, click on the last frame and Edit>Delete. View>Animation and check that it plays ok and then File>Save As gif and we're done!!
