This tutorial was written in psp 8, but can be done in other versions. You will need: Supplies Zip HERE, which includes: Images, Flower Tube, Paper Clip by Melissa at Scrappy Expressions, Ribbon, Brushes (2 sets of brushes are in the supplies zip, one set has been converted for psp7 which are smaller) My True Blue Scrap Kit HERE
Ok, let's get started.
Put your FlowersBlue tube into your Jasc Software psp tube folder and your brushes into your brushes folder. Open a new blank canvas 460 x 460, colour white and open the first image of your choice and copy and paste it as a new layer onto your blank canvas, resize by 85 %, bicubic, resize all layers UNchecked and postition it over to the top left. Open the second image of your choice, resize the same as before and position it overlapping your first image and over to the bottom right. Open the Paper Clip and copy and paste it as a new layer, resize it by 40% and position it on the top left hand corner of the second image. With your lasso tool, point to point, select the pieces of the paper clip that should be behind the image (you will have to zoom in to get all the bits) and then hit delete on your keyboard:~
Selections>Select None. Add a drop shadow to your paper clip, V: 2, H:2, Opacity: 45, Blur: 3.00. Open the True Blue scrap kit and look for the stitch, open the stitch and copy and paste it as a new layer, resize by 65% and position it above the first top image. With your lasso tool select the last stitch and then hit delete on your keyboard.
Selections>Select None. Layers>Duplicate your stitch layer and move it above the second bottom image, and with your lasso tool select the first four stitches and then hit delete on your keyboard:~
Apply the same drop shadow you used earlier for the paper clip to your stitches. Layers>New Raster Layer and drag this layer on your layer palette to the bottom, above your background layer, select a blue colour from your images, or any other matching colour and apply some brushes. Add another layer and apply the Smudgy brush behind the edges of the images, you may want to add another layer to apply the brush and flip and mirror the smudge into position. Also apply the CornerDots brush to the bottom right hand corner of the second image at the bottom. Layers>New Raster Layer and with your tube tool find the Flowers Blue tube, change the scale to 40 and apply it to the bottom left hand corner, lower the opacity of the flowers to 50. Next find the Button Decoration in the scrap kit and copy and paste it as a new layer, drag the layer to the top of your layer palette, resize by 50%, Image>Flip, place it over to the left and apply the same drop shadow as before. Find the Dark Blue Tag in the scrap kit and copy and paste it as a new layer, resize by 50% and Image>Rotate>Free Rotate, 45 Degrees, Free, Left, position it on the top right hand corner of the first top image and apply the same drop shadow as before. Open the Blue Bow and copy and paste it as a new layer, resize by 50%, position it over the top of the tag and apply the same drop shadow. Layers>Merge>Merge Visible and apply the artists copyright info: ŠJana Rey http://janarey.deviantart.com/ and your watermark/tag name as a new layer. Next add your name, I used font: Sketchy Times, Bold HERE, create as vector and anti-alias checked, no Foreground colour, and Background colour: #2C334E, and squashed the text together with the vector nodes and stretched it downwards. I also added a drop shadow, colour white, V:1, H: 1, Opacity: 88, Blur: 8.00, twice. Layers>Convert to Raster Layer. Add some text to your hanging scrap tag, I typed 'serenity' and used font: Elegance HERE, size 20, colour: #23293D and then with the vector nodes rotate the text round to the right, into postion on your scrap tag. Layers>Convert to Raster Layer. When you've finsihed positioning your text Layers>Merge>Merge Visible and save as jpg and we're done!
